Thank you for the heads up on the trigger, too - I didn't realize they offered different ones, I'll look into that every bit well.

As far equally Gen two - I really similar the no-finger-grooves, since they never line upward with my easily anyhow, I only don't like the look of no rails Oh well. I'one thousand non a fan at all of the Gen 2 texture, it feels very slippery. I volition most probable be stippling to combat this, in this blueprint:

I really like how a like pattern I did feels on my PPS, and I've done one-half of an airsoft Glock 17 with it to see if I like it, haha, so if information technology'south overnice on that when it's done I'll probably get alee on the existent matter.

No rush; whatever works for you. In the mags I've taken apart, I used the armorer'due south tool to button up on the "magazine insert" to release it from the base of operations plate/floor plate, and the c-clamp to compress the sides of the mag body to release the base plate/floor plate from the magazine trunk. Sounds similar yous've figured out your own way; equally long equally information technology works!

I'm thinking your gun may have one of the "NY" trigger springs, which is a small plastic frame/jump assembly that goes in place of the original trigger bound and maybe some other components (I'm not for certain on that part), which increases the forcefulness required to pull the trigger. The "NY" name has to exercise with NYPD switching to Glocks but requesting a higher pull strength and Glock coming up with that every bit a solution, if I am recalling correctly. Regardless, yes, Glock offers some factory options for increasing the trigger pull, and yours may be fitted with one of them.

My fingers don't quite marshal with the grooves, either, only I've adapted I suppose. I personally would look into a Talon grip or like instead of stippling, equally I'm personally not a fan of it at all, but that's personal preference. To me, they look horrible and a flake as well "custom", for lack of a better look, and I'd never go nigh i if I were looking for a used gun. I recall you lot'd have an easier time selling a not-stippled gun if you lot e'er chose to get rid of information technology. Also, if I were planning to stipple a gun, it would likely be on one that already had finger grooves that I could go rid of, as opposed to i that didn't take them to brainstorm with. For me, the rail groove is only an issue if you want to attach a lite or other accessory; if you're okay without an accompaniment, then it looks fine and near people won't care. There is a subset of people that take much more than interest in the Gen 2s than the newer generations.

Besides, if you want to supersede factory parts and are friends with a Glock armorer, information technology will exist a much cheaper endeavour for you lot. That said, factory parts aren't terribly expensive to purchase on your own.
